South Jersey Outdoor Newborn Photography | Smithville NJ

Today’s post features Mike & Ava’s outdoor newborn photography session! Our planning first started back in December when Mike wanted to surprise his wife with a maternity session for her birthday. However, covid-19 happened and that unfortunately cancelled the maternity session. All we could do was postpone and hope that it would be safe for a newborn session once this little guy arrived!

Thankfully, I am now able to shoot outdoors so we could make this newborn session happen while the baby was right around two weeks old, which is the perfect time to schedule your newborn session. I’ve been really loving shooting at Historic Smithville Village lately and we ended up doing the entire session right in one spot, thanks to the studio props I brought we were able to get a variety of looks in a short amount of time.

It was a little chilly on this evening and the gnats were really loving us so it was definitely a little harder (especially being 33 weeks pregnant!) to adapt to a different environment but I think I was able to successfully implement the best of my studio and outdoor sessions to create a beautiful gallery for this brand new family.
