Today’s session features brand new baby Rocky and his Virtua fresh 48 photography. Virtua is hands down my favorite hospital for fresh 48 photography because they have HUGE windows that let in a ton of light, and since this is a natural light session shot only during the day- that’s a huge plus!

This was the first fresh 48 session I’ve done with a big sibling around, and it made for some very sweet and tender images. Big brother wasn’t always a fan of getting his photos done (what 4 year old is?!) but when it came to being sweet to little brother, he needed no prompting! Mom brought in some cute little outfits for Rocky to wear from Lou Lou and Company (I actually went and bought some of these for my client closet specifically for future fresh 48 clients!) You don’t ever have to feel pressure to “over do” the props or styling for fresh 48 sessions at all, but those cute little outfits or swaddles help make for an added little touch to your images at your Virtua fresh 48 photography session! 

Moms always ask what they should wear for fresh 48 sessions, and I think nightgowns or button up pajama sets from target make the perfect wardrobe! You’re supposed to be laid back and relaxed in these photos, and these are a step up from that hospital gown but you’re still comfortable! You do not have to worry about feeling dolled up for your Virtua fresh 48 photography session, because these documentary style sessions are all about the raw first few hours of your new family while you are still in the hospital with your baby.
