Fresh 48s might just be my new favorite. Those first few hours of your baby’s life in the hospital are such a blur with nurses in and out, figuring out feeding patterns, and soaking in that newness that you most likely won’t be able to slow down and capture those moments. Raise your hand if your only hospital photos are sleepy eyed squishy baby selfies in your hospital bed! Before you know it, you’re packing your little one up to head home!
The reason I love these fresh 48 photography details is because they’re so nostalgic to almost every mom, even going back one or two generations. We all remember the tiny white kimono tops, the white, pink and blue receiving blanket, the bassinet on wheels, the umbilical cord clip, the tiny hospital bracelets, and I wish I had these moments frozen in time for myself.
Another benefit of fresh 48 is getting that “birth photography” feel without the pressure of your photographer being on call and possibly missing the birth.
The sweet little girl in these images today is my best friend’s third baby and she is already very loved by a big brother and sister at home! I am so excited to watch this little girl grow up.
