One of my goals this year is to be more consistent with blogging my sessions! And what better one to start with than sweet Claire, the first baby girl of 2019 to grace my studio. She was such a sweet little peanut, and super sleepy! There were a few new ideas I successfully incorporated into her session and I can’t wait to use in future newborn sessions!

How sweet is the bucket pose with the roses? With Valentine’s Day coming, I wanted to sneak that in 😉 I try to incorporate something related to the season/holiday that falls around the baby’s birthday. I took the shot without the roses as well to stick with my neutral creamy tones I love in all of my newborn sessions!

I just received this floral newborn halo from Baby Bliss Props and had a vision of baby girl wearing this on a plain white backdrop- and bonus, she had some smiles for me, so sweet! Mom and dad loved the white & pink floral backdrop of course, it is a major hit for all baby girl newborn sessions! We had to use my little iron bed prop as well, another gender neutral favorite for all newborn sessions.

You wanna know something funny? There’s a CAT SCRATCHER underneath the baby in the photo with the furry rug! We always get a little laugh when I pull that one out! Hey, whatever works- I may or may not use a dog bed (never used by a dog, don’t worry) for some of my newborn session poses!
